Hi

I know you’ve said numerous times here that there won’t be a cast recording for the London production, but like many others I think that is a HUGE shame.

You’ve also said that one of the reasons for not doing a recording is that people would expect it to be the original London cast - however, I think the current cast is GREAT.

I know it would be difficult to get everyone into a studio and do a full recording at this late stage, but have you considered doing a ‘live’ recording? You could get a recording engineer in for a couple of nights performances and put together a fantastic CD of all the musical numbers.

Yes, I know there would be rights issues - but surely that could be overcome. Market the CD as ‘live cast recording’ and everyone will be well aware that it won’t be a polished studio performance (and I’m sure it will be all the better for it).

I’m sure there would be a healthy market for this. PLEASE consider it and don’t write this posting off with another “sorry but no” message - give it some serious thought and test the waters.

Yours in fabulous hopefulness

Alex

P.S. I know there are the Broadway/Australian cast recordings, but they just aren’t the same. The fans of the London show deserve our own version!

Hi Kenisha

If tickets aren’t available it will be because they are sold out.

Hi :)

First of all BRAVO!! Priscilla is the BEST show in the westend!

As everyone is very sad to hear about the closure of the show, which is devastating, I asked staff at tonights performance when the last date would be. They told me it would be on 31 January 2012. The booking period still only runs until 07 January. When will we be able to book tickets for the last night ? (Keeping my fingers crossed it will be extended indefinitely of course - but I CANNOT miss the last one!)

Congrats to all of you on your fabulousness :)

Hi Alexandra,

We glad you love the show. Priscilla constantly goes through tweaks and changes to improve it and make it the best possible show it can be. As such, for the last few months we’ve extended the scene on top of Ayres Rock and then gone straight into the Finale keeping the high tempo. We hope to see you again soon.

Hi,
I’ve been to see Priscilla four times now and each time it has been brilliant. We went to see the show last night (15th July), can you please tell me why part of the end of the show was missed out? The part where Tick, Felicia and Benji get on the bus to leave
Many thanks

I read on a Twitter post from Charlotte Riby that since the cast has been changed, a scene has been changed or removed towards the end of the show, is this true? And if so, why?

Hi Jen,

GET INTO LONDON THEATRE GILT Is a free event to promote London theatre and will showcase a range of shows culminating in a performance by Priscilla at the Royal Festival Hall on January the 4th. The promotional performing team, including Gumbies and Divas will be performing.

…. sorry - meant to also ask… whats the gig (4th Jan) at the royal festival hall about? and is the whole cast of priscilla going to be there?

by Jen

January 1st, 2011 at 8:41 pm

Hi,
Have you ever thought about doing a “theme night” - like a “black tie and ballgown night”…. charge a bit more for a ticket and offer a free drink or something……. gone are the days when its the norm to get properly dressed up to go to the theatre. I know you can dress in what you like (but youd look nuts if you turned up like that!).. dont you think a “theme night” would just be something a bit different. Priscilla seems the obvious show for it!!

Went to see the show for 4th time this weekend and, as usual, had a ball. I would like to send huge congratulations to the new cast who seemed to be enjoying it just as much as we were. In particular really well done to Don and John as they both had big shoes to fill and did a fantastic job bringing a new feel to each character. Well done everyone and can’t wait for my next visit.

by Holly

May 1st, 2010 at 7:18 pm

I agree with the person above.
This will be the 5th and 6th times we are coming to see Priscilla.
And we live up in Scotland, so it’s harder to get down here.
We are coming to see Jason’s last two nights, but we obviously coming to scream for Oliver too.
I hope that Ben enjoys himself as Tick.

I came back yesterday, and screamed my head off with my mum!
I love this so much. I’m so obsessed with it, I actually wore a cupcake hairband in my hair!
Jason wasn’t there but Hugo was fab!
But, obviously, I came to see Oliver. Can I just say Thank You to whoever chose him to be Adam/Felicia.
If you ask him, he may remember me. I was the tall, blonde girl that told him she loved him. Also, he said that my hands were freezing.

Whoops, I meant Jason, Oliver and Tony singing ‘We Belong’–not ‘Confide in Me’ (although Oliver’s version of ‘Confide in Me’ is always stunning)! Doesn’t seem to be an option to edit a comment though :)

March 8th, 2010 at 2:20 pm

Was at the show Saturday evening, 06/03, for the last show of the original cast. What an evening! The buzz from the audience was absolutely electric! Miss Understanding and Farrah hugging during ‘Go West’ (rather than their usual snide looks) was almost a tearjerker! And, well, ‘Confide in Me’ with Jason, Oliver and Tony pulled my heartstrings immensely! Best wishes to all the departing cast members, and best of luck to those starting tonight!
